Usually the built in trigger only work good indoor because it needs sight of view, the ebay triggers or any other sort of triggers works on radio frequency. So you dont need to have the flash in "view" to trigger, also on bright sunny days is a hit and miss when the built in, tiggers the external flash. For more info you can check http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101.html Thanks that's the info I was looking for.

Finally got a buddy from work to come out shooting. Climbed a river for some shots. He got this shot of a 60D user (me) using his 7D. IT was some pretty hardcore climbing. Had to attach myself to a climbing rope for some of the shots over the edges of cliffs. Forgot to bring an ND filter and CP, so no real keepers of the river. ![]()

The real question is how much working distance do you want and cash to spend. I've mostly used the mpe 65mm and 60mm macro once owned the 100mm macro, but I've done it so long that I like to be in the grill of the crap I'm shooting. If you never done it before I would say go with something that will give at least 7 inches or more at 1:1 So, look at the 100mm macro, sigma 105mm macro, or sigma 150mm macro to just name a few. Thx for your quick reply macroshooter.....another question.....can you do good macro photgraphy using a zoom lens (ie 18-200mm Canon)? Ant tricks to make it work nearly as well as a dedicated macro lens? [B]EJT - Eric
