Thanks!

Here are a few more.

QUOTED IMAGE

Awesome Corey, i really like that one.

I would like to get a 70-200 mk2 but its alot of money when this is just a hobby for some pics of the kids lol. Thats sort of the reason i went for the 200mm prime as it gives a similar result but only at 200mm and it was cheap a the time, a 135L would also be nice.

60D | Canon 15-85 | Canon 200mm f/2.8L II | Canon 400mm f/5.6L | 580EX II. And a heap of Astrophotography gear.

Love the first picture! If you don't mind, what's the EXIF on the first one? I see the last two but the first one isn't showing and I love the DOF! Thanks (:

First one is a technique I've tried only a few times called the Brenizer Method. Stitched about 15 shots to make 1 image with very small depth of field. Shot at 85mm 1.4.

Ya, primes are nice. 135mm and 200mm are too long for my shooting style though.

Quick question:

Does Flickr not save exif data?

I am publishing to flickr from LR3, saving metadata to the file, but non of the pics I have posted have the exif info.

Do I have to have a pro account or do I need to go with smugmug?

I figured I would jump in with a cat pic :)

One of my first shots with the 60D and one of my first attempts at PP with LR3. Kinda wished that I would have started with a RAW but I didn't have it set yet :( now I do.
CC welcome

BTW very cool looking cat. I had seen an earlier post of him and thought he had some pretty exotic markings, what breed is he?

It's cloudy and windy outside, I'm bored, and feeling terribly unmotivated for a Sunday afternoon. I kinda like it. :)

So I'll see your cat photos:

And raise you a fish tank photo:

Today's lesson is that I didn't clean the tank very well yesterday. And it's really too bright in here so I ended up with way to many reflections on the glass, but a good tripod and LiveView sure make shooting the tank a lot easier!

Hopefully pulling the trigger and ordering the 60D possibly tomorrow after going to the store and messing around with it to make sure it the one I want! Upgrading from an XS I think this will be a great move!

NP, ya those are some good links that explain the process much better. I find using ptgui is very very easy to do in post processing the panos as well.
