I will be working on a web site in the next several weeks. My secret recipe is this: 1. 8 year old laptop computer that can't get out of its own way. 2. DPP because it's free 3. Photoshop 5.1. I use CS5 at work and see no advantage with it. 5.1 has all the basic tools one could ever need. Although it can't save EXIF data. ![]() 4. Worlds worst ND filter soft grad 5. Samsung HD LCD TV 40" (only had to adjust contrast to make it work, very accurate colors compared to other LCD TVs) 6. Most of my shots are done with the camera hooked up through HDMI to 40" LCD and turned to JPG with the in-camera RAW converter. Why? Because it is way faster than my computer. ![]() 7. $20 Fred Meyer Tripod for saltwater long exposures. I use a $400 manfrotto for everything else needing tripod. 8. 60D + 10-22 EFS, and sometimes the Sigma 17-70 OS 9. Hoya HD CPL 77mm with reducer ring for the 17-70 10. Lots of hard-core persistence. I'm usually the first and last photographer out in a location. Not many people are willing to get up at 3am for a photo. ![]() #10 should be #1 on the list.
