Guys, I've got some news for you, directly from Phottix, talking about their aftermarket grip :

Comment: Hi Phottix.

I've had a phottix battery grip for my T2i and I loved it. Now that i've sold my T2i, I bought a 60D.

I wanted to know when you release a battery grip for the Canon 60D. The BG-E9 is too expensive and I really love phottix product.

Please get back to me.

Thanks a lot, David.

Their answer is:

Hello:

We are working on it now, hopefully by the end of January.

Regards,
Phottix Support
Jaroslaw Levin

I think this is some great news :)

I dunno if I'm missing something here, but exp. comp. in Manual? Isn't that achieved by playing with the shutter/aperture/ISO until the pointer on the meter tells you your exposure is over/under?

That is how you set exposure for each shot - yes of course.

But - I specifically want exposure compensation to work in tandem with Auto ISO in Manual Mode - because I think most shots are underexposed using Auto ISO. I would like the ability to increase exposure by a touch, or similarity - ETTR.

Not a huge thing, but it means I have to push the fill light in Lr3 which can increase noise.

Ah... k.

Personally I prefer setting the ISO manually too. Seems pointless to use manual and have an auto ISO :) To each his own :)

Maybe you can try a different metering method and lock the exp value? Might be cumbersome tho.

Yes - very much to each his own. I use manual ISO for stills and most often auto ISO for AI Servo, because where I am - lighting can change about 8 times tracking one bird.

Does this mean your LCD is black - does it display anything and if so - what?

The "INFO" button will toggle 3 different displays - one of which is the electronic level - another shows all the info you are desiring, if I understand your issue

Okay, I see what you're saying.
I have my INFO button on the last option.

It works if i press INFO > AF button
Also if I [Q] >AF button

however, can i have it always show when i press AF button, without INFO or Q

I think you have changed - perhaps - a setting here:

choose "Q" - the "Custom Controls" (right lower-middle).

I think you may have assigned something here - you will have to play with it.

Alternately - reset all custom settings to default if its taking too long to pin down the issue, just a thought
