It's much easier for Mic to say that, Sheldon. He already has at least one of everything Elinchrom makes.

If only myths were true!

I mean, honestly - I don't even have a 74" Octa.

Yeah, I guess between Mic and I we do have a rather long list of Elinchrom toys. You know it's bad when I need to make purchase decisions based upon whether I have space in my closet to hold the next modifier.

And don't even get me started on my lens addiction. You should check out the gear list in my signature... pay close attention to the previously owned gear list.

Sigh.....

I was going to ask that today

where do our big hitters in this thread that dont have a studio keep their stuff? My guest bedroom is getting full with pelican cases and modifiers.

Yeah, how do you guys have room? I'm afraid of getting any large modifiers!

86" PCB Silver PLM with Elinchrom speedring on the way. I bought it because of the hot model images he has in the PLM ad: http://www.paulcbuff.com …9/Images/plmv2adright.jpg (external link)

I bet sheldon finds one in a day or less.
He finds the best deals it seems.

+1

They're actually available on order (they say 6-8 weeks, so make that 10-12 weeks) but not a lot cheaper than B&H or other dealers, so it doesn't make too much sense to buy here.

I knew it was something like that which meant I wasn't able to get one cheap.

Besides, Mic, I just remembered. You have an indirect Quadra or Recta already, don't you? Having one of the indirects qualifies for Dave's statement, I think ;)

I've actually got a couple. BUT, as I said, I haven't got a 74" Octa, so therefore it is proved that I don't have one of everything they make :-)

That's hard to deny, I guess.

Downstairs entry cupboard, but it does spill out around the house fairly frequently...

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

I've got a 24/35L itch, but I'm sure it'll disappear soon. Modifier wise I'm quite happy at the moment, I'll tack a 46 SLII on my mates next BH order, but I don't really NEED anything for a little while

My mate has a 35L, and I love it. Can't justify one yet, but I will someday, although not soon.

Yeah I think I'd prefer the 35, 24 is a little too wide for me, I'm more of a tight crop person with whatever I do.

I'm juggling with whether to keep my 135L or trade up for a 70-200 f/2.8 IS II. The 135L is a great lens bit the flexibility of the zoom is tempting.

Took possession of my quadra last week, love it's power vs size. And especially that I can finally use all the new modifiers I've been buying lol. Picking up grids that I purchased from bh recently.

Been taking test shots around my room, nothing worth showing. Hopefully get a chance to go out next week with a friend to take some shots.

I'm no expert, but isn't an ad supposed to make it look like the product helps you take reasonably well-lit shots?

The 70-200 Mk2 is an AMAZING lens. I've heard the same about the 135, but you're right--tack sharp goodness at f/2.8 through the whole range is awfully nice too.
