Hi Ralph, I've been doing a lot of work in people's homes and find that when that's the case and I know I'm dealing with 8 foot ceilings and potentially cluttered and small rooms I find that the 53" Octa is my most flexible modifier for that type of work. The 39" Deep Octa would be great for a good deal of it but for that work a larger and softer light source proves to be better. It can get me through just about any shoot including groups and for that reason the 53" Octa has always gotten a tremendous amount of use. What are you using for lights when you're out to peoples homes? Would you like to buy a vowel?

Elinchrom 600RX and I carry a 300RX with me as well. I'm always prepared for a two light setup even if I'm pretty sure I'll only need one. You never know and it's great to have the backup. Robert

It takes the friction off the handle and then once you "release" it back to it's original position you can tighten it up (like a ratchet). Luke,
