Just a tad.

Robert, that's too bad, i was looking forward to meeting some of the NY folk. Yeah, i have a list of questions for that dude. He has no idea what he's in for. If anyone has questions here, feel free to post em up and i'll write em in.

Sorry to disappoint Brendan. As cool as those shows are, I found myself very bored when I went last time. The high points for me were spending about 8 minutes talking with Zack Arias and watching Joe Buissink do a presentation that was really captivating and inspiring. The gear didn't do much for me.

Yeah, that was why I went to our (crappy, little) local version a few months ago. No Zack, though!

No, me either, TBH. (I know I shouldn't admit that...)

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Yeah i hear ya. I'm taking a retouching class that is like 4 hours long and watching a session with August Bradley. Elinchrom is just a side thing. But i've never been. I'd like to go try out a Leica, just for fun. And that's about it.

Yeah what is up with going to different triggers. what are the advantages of the ELS Transmitter SPEED vs the one I got in the BRXi from two months ago?

It was this one

Hasselblad usually has a large presence at PhotoPlus, Brendan. I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss that.

I think the differences are all external. The new model has a locking wheel on the hot shoe foot and has the recessed buttons. The new one has a little LED that blinks when it is turned on, not sure if the old one has that.

I've only got the Eco, which is Speed as well though. There's indeed a minor difference. With 1/200 (The camera is rated for 1/160) I get no black banding in both modes, but with 1/250 the black band is less big in Speed mode. I makes no difference to me, but obviously there is one.

Yeah, they are doing a special thing at a local studio. I'm going to that to check out August Bradley. I LOVE his work...

I just picked up a set of the BxRI's, one 250 and one 500 watt. They were to supplement my already existing lights. I used them for the first time this past weekend on a wedding and I loved them.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

My DO arrived today, along with a 36x43 recta and a 10x20 black muslin background.

I've got a TF shoot scheduled for Monday night and cannot wait to try out the new pieces of kit.
