Here are some photos of my first ever wedding. I'd love some feedback to see how I did. I was pretty happy with them, and so was the client. :) Thanks in advance.

You managed well the very difficult problem of harsh mid-day sun.

The third pic goes a little flat for me. I like the concept, but his fairly flat expression and closed eyes don't quite capture me.

If this represents the wedding overall, I'd say great work for your first time. Your clients should be pleased.

First wedding and you're using OCF?...shows confidence!! :) Love that first one - perfect!

Did it take you long to dial in the exposure?

Almost all of the photos look close or as good as these, with exception of the random candids that is. Thanks I'll work on the flatness of the last image.

Yup, I knew it would be difficult but the final result was worth it. Not really just a couple shots before hand to make sure it all was the way I wanted it, I had a general idea of the exposure I'd need before I started

For the top two I used one Alien Bee 400 through a softbox, and the 3rd was a 530EX on camera. Thanks very much!

Great stuff. Not what I expected when I saw "my first wedding". ;) Of course, I'm used to seeing "my first wedding" posts from people who have been shooting for all of three months.
