Update.
Bought my 50mm f1.4 and decided to stay out of video for now.

Then I changed my mind. I bought the LCDVF, and now looking for more to slowly build up. Im thinking about getting a H4n next, then a shotgun mic. Time for more research.

I just got the itch to get into video as well, I'm second shooting a wedding tomorrow and the main wants me to try to make a promo vid for him.. we'll see how bad it comes out.. haha

What's a good stabilizer? I've been looking at the glidecams are those any good? Also is as follow focus system a neccesity?
