Nice photos, I thought #'s 2 & 3 were excellent, how close were you, or was it a big lens you were using?

I've wondered ever since they started racing there how much light you actaully have compared to daylight. Looks like alot since you have motion blur in the background but it looks like you aren't wide open on the aperature, a wild guess: F/8 @ 320? I really hope a little rain will fall so that we'll get to see what rain photographed under the lights looks like...it might not work out well! I really miss F1 at Indianapolis, so keep the shots coming (and a little info about body, lens & shot).

Im pretty much smack bang on the catchfence there. The ones in the first post were with my trusty old 40D, although being in Singapore i couldnt resist upgrading, so you can find one of the first photos off the 7D at the bottom of the post. Im using a 70-200 f2.8 Sigma lens as my 100-400L was damaged in the flight over from Australia (grr)

Thanks Todd, there really is a fair bit of light on the circuit, but nowhere near as much as daylight. Im usually running about ISO200/400 and 1/200@2.8 or 1/160@3.5 as the 70-200 is a bit soft when wide open. As im shooting through the catchfence there im keeping it close to wide open so that i can minimise the catchfence through the limited DoF around the focus point.

Anyway, here is the first processed shot off the 7D:

So there 1/260@f4 as its a much higher speed part of the circuit (final corner) than the T1/2/3 complex where the first photos were taken.
