Hehe, that's a funny thread :)
There is another one about the online game world of warcraft, where a kid posts in a forum at 03.30 in the morning and then his mother, that also plays the game, tells him he shouldn't leave footprints like that around if he doesn't want his mother to know he's up so early in the morning :)

C'mon Guys,

Do this poor monoglot (well a polyglot really but German French and Welsh don’t help) a favour and give me a précis of the tread, it is a real curse being so nosey

neil_r, a guy posts about buying a new DVD player and asks about stuff in the thread, then his wife posts a question to him (using his username) and ask when they did agree on buying a new DVD player and that he should discuss this with him first. Further down the thread he says he has to "discuss" this in the bedroom with his wife and also reminded everyone to log out of forums before leaving the computer to their spouse. :D

Thanks for the translation.

Such a thing is extremely unlikely to happen here: wife won't go near a computer except to play Tetris on her iMac (which is not connected to the internet).

My parents won't go near the computer unless to pay for bills or check email. No need for me to be worried about anything. :)

Haha...priceless!

In page 2 she returns again and starts babling about that a pair of Prada shoes (expensive) will never constitute as much as his Hifi and Sports equipment in a year. The dude finally figures out how to change his password, but that dosent stop his gf as she registers a new account!

...Although she agreed to let him buy his dvdplayer

Wonder if anyone at POTN got the same problems :p

I use XP pro, each user has their own logon, I switch user when anyone else wants to use the PC... it's like having seperate PCs for everyone, no problems at all :)

We are not talking about the Windows logon...but the login/out feature on almost any forum.

Skip and I take great pride that we are far superiorly computer literate than our adult kids. This really ticks them off but we just laugh and point our fingers at them! :):):)

I also use the different windows logons to keep things seperated.

Not that she really cares, I don't even think she knows where the forum is, although she has heard about it enough times.

Thanks for looking!
