Does anyone have a pic using the Tokina 10-17 fisheye on T1i? Can I achieve the full fisheye effect with this lens?

If by "full fisheye effect", you mean an image confined to a circle within a field of black then, no, the Tokina doesn't do that. I'm not sure I know of a fisheye that can do this with a crop camera like the T1i. If, however, you just mean extreme distortion then, yes, the Tokina at 10mm is very fishy - MUCH better than a 15mm or 16mm fisheye. The Tokina's a really fun lens though some people find the fisheye effect gets a little old after a while.

The Tokina 10-17mm fisheye zoom and the Sigma 10mm fisheye both give a good fisheye effect on a crop camera. Actually Jack there is one lens that will give a circular 180-degree image on crop cameras and that is the Sigma 4.5mm fisheye (there is also the Sunex 5.6mm, but that doesn't have an adjustable focus or aperture).

If those lenses are too expensive for you, there is the Falcon (also goes by many other names) 8mm manual-focus fisheye, which seems to be a good performer, but at a much lower price.

Mark.

Thanks guys, I meant extreme distortion :o Sounds as if the Tokina is the lens for me. Would love to have the new Canon 8-15 f4L fisheye but $1400.00 is a little steep for a specialty lens I think.
