What would be the best Fisheye lens for a T1i ? Sorry for the newbe question, been surfing this forum for 2 days and all this info is mind boggling.

JackProton Goldmember 2,348 posts Joined Feb 2007 More info | If by "full fisheye effect", you mean an image confined to a circle within a field of black then, no, the Tokina doesn't do that. I'm not sure I know of a fisheye that can do this with a crop camera like the T1i. If, however, you just mean extreme distortion then, yes, the Tokina at 10mm is very fishy - MUCH better than a 15mm or 16mm fisheye. The Tokina's a really fun lens though some people find the fisheye effect gets a little old after a while.

Actually Jack there is one lens that will give a circular 180-degree image on crop cameras and that is the Sigma 4.5mm fisheye (there is also the Sunex 5.6mm, but that doesn't have an adjustable focus or aperture). Mark.
