Hello all! I need some help.
I would like to see if you all can advise me on the best way to light a group like this in a setting like this. I wanted an earlier time....but someone is always late and some cannot get there. Team Coach picked the place and time....even though i tried to move it earlier and expressed concern about the sun/orange light.
I am battling the setting sun..........bad for faces on one side and bad for red shirts that like to look orange from the sun's glow.
I had 1 ab800 left in BD, 1 ab800 right 7" reflector. Should I have had the BD more power and on camera right? Any help would be appreciated!

I would just use on-camera flash set at FEC -1 for fill. You have great light at this time of day. Might even want to throw a 1/4 or 1/2 CTO gel over your flash head.

id prolly change their positions as the sunlight (im assuming thats the sun) is not falling equally on the subjects.

If limited to the location of the group and the sun, I would probably have put my studio lights directly above the camera with large umbrellas and driven the power up to the point where the lighting level from my lights is closer to that from the sun. This way, the shadows from my equipment would be very soft and not to the side of any individuals.

The way you've done the shot, there are a number of shadows that look strange - particularly from your flash at camera left. You also don't have enough flash power to really fill the shadows from the sun.

Thank you.....I really thought about moving the lights to the center....but only had the Beauty Dish and a 7" reflector on the other.
I will try again with more fill on the camera right side. thank you
