The first rule of voting. Please please please leave a comment when you vote. This contest really comes alive when people just drop in,say hi and perhaps tell us why they voted for a particular photo. It makes the contest more fun and gives really great feedback for the photographers.

Other stuff:

  • The poll will remain open for 7 days.
  • You can vote for three photos. Your vote will be public
  • Please don't vote for your own photos!
  • As before there will 1st, 2nd and 3rd place positions.
  • No prizes, sorry
  • I will be announcing the names (aliases) of the people who win. Send me a PM if you don't want your name to be announced.
All the photos can be viewed here (external link)

Good luck everyone!!! :D

My votes are

# 24

Simple idea well done. Love the colours and the frozen action of the drops etc. Hit the spot with me anyway. Is it Dandruff brand fragrance? LOL.

# 26

Creamy colours and gloss, careful focus etc, lit well. Classy.

# 17

Nice angle of light + dark, beautiful cool blues.

My favorite is #26. The image really tells a story about the quality of the instrument. Great composition and color.

Hey Guys,

Here are my votes.

#26 - Love the colours, the warmth and the atmosphere of the image, I've figured out it's an instrument of some sort, but due to my lack of musical knowledge - that's as far as it goes, as for the theme - it definitely positions the brand in a good location in the image.

#17 - I like the colours and lighting of this one, the logo is very visible and i'm sure in this day and age the words 15GB can hint at some kind of storage product..

#2 - Like the reflections here, the logo comes out clearly, on the negative side though, if you're not familiar with the logo, you may never know it's actually a car, I think more of the product would've been good...

A few great entries there... This comp is getting better all the time :)

My favorite is # 16: Fairlady Z.

Too bad # 20: A Mini Adventure is very small, looks like an excellent photo imo.

#2 and #20: both involve excellent lighting, composition, and use of reflection.

#24: totally cliché, but totally well done

I could see many of the entries in magazine ads; good job, all!

#26 is my favorite. The colors are rich and warm, the photo exudes quality and has a "spare-no-expense" look to the piano. Also, I love the way the shadow of the stick for the piano lid is kind of like 3D (on right)...you can see three different angles of the stick. The placement of the brand is perfect, too. Bravo!

#24 is perfect for the competition theme. Not only is it a well executed photo, but I like that it also works as a campaign style image. I'm dying to know how the photographer managed to take the shot. Must have taken quite a few exposures!

#1 I liked from the very beginning. I know the phone company (still got my Pay as you Go SIM with them!) and although the image may not be as "glossy magazine style" striking, I believe it stands out. I think it'd work very well in an ad campaign.

#4 is plainly a brilliant image.

There are a lot of very good photos here but I had to pick 3 so here goes:

#1 - The use of selective coloring does it for me. Very good use, excellent photo.

#24 - Excellent technique here and sells the product to me!

#26 - Truly classic and very well done.

I wish I could have voted for more!

I noticed that majority of the photos are using actual company names and products (Branding). Should this be avoided?
#29 is good photo but not sure if name shown on bottle is actual brand or name of product?

I don't see that as a problem.

At some stage I'm actually going to vote in this contest. I just can't make up my mind which three are my favourites!!

I voted for 17, 20, 24.

17: I liked it because of its simplicity, and the lighting involved with it. Looked like a sort of image i'd see in a magazine if apple didn't already have a unique advertising style.

20: I liked it because of its simplicity; the shot was well composed with nice use of DOF. Yet again another type of image that i thought I would be likely to see in a magazine advertising caompaign.

24: Classic, some might say cliche, campaign image. That must've taken a lot of time and patience. Definitely fits the criteria for one of the best though, due to the subject of the contest.

good work all!
