I like the first one but think the second one is brilliant. I love how it shows a moment in time in the lives of the people in the image. I even like the "no trucks, vans or limos" sign which isn't what you would expect in that neighborhood anyway.

PP doesn't work for me on the 1st one for multiple reasons: vignetting too strong on top of photo, the image PP makes it grim so first thing your eyes go to is the blue barriers "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS", making you think that this is either a riot or a murder scene... only to figure out that this is actually a street event where people are actually having fun!

2nd shows a tremendous potential. However, I'm not a fan of the PP on that one either, colors are washed off and you lost lots of details in brighter parts of the picture. Seems a bit tilted on the right.

I like both, but the second one is best. Lots of interesting detail there for the eye. The various signs, the shack on the left, the people in the store, the awful chairs on the left. Great street shot.

Not a fan of the first one due to the processing. Why they need for vignetting? It also appears to have some focus problems.
I like the subject matter of the second but again the processing is distracting. This could be a really nice shot.

I would like the second one with less processing. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

U know, now that i look at it again, i agree. I did go a bit crazy with the PP. Problem is i like to play with Lightroom too much and end up ruining them. I have to go back to my old tricks for PP-ing street shots. Thanks again, Al

I like #2 a lot. I'm not sure about the PPing, I don't dislike it.
