I was at a conference for work in Louisville KT this past week. A friend and co-worker of mine was with me. He is an avid skater and asked if I wanted to come along. I havenever shot action before but the follow are my best pictures from the trip.

Comments are welcome, positive and negative.

The second one is better for me.
The first one makes me dizzy.

Just a pointer that took me a while to learn (not criticizing you, just giving a random tip):
If you've going to photography a kickflip or something, make sure you include the ground!

I like the 2nd one.

The 1st one is a bit distorted with the wide angle. Makes him look like he has looooooong legs.

Second looks good but I'd be inclined to get rid of those phone/ power cables.

Very interesting feedback on the first photo. Thru my eyes it had a good flow and the angle that gives the uneasy feeling, to me, reflects my fear of heights... Of course you don't know that, so I see where you all are coming from... Haha....

Here's two more....

rad shirt on the first guy (3rd pic of the set) but I'm distracted by the blur of his arm. I would've bumped up the ISO a bit more to freeze it.

I disagree. The blur helps add the sense of movement. Sort of like how you don't stop helicopter blades.

As for the first set, I don't mind the first photo, although it could be better. I know we all charish our photo gear, but, this pic would have been much more dynamic if you got that wide lens right down to the coping and get the feel like those trucks are going to grind right through your lens. Fill up that frame with a stretched and distorted skater and it will feel much more real. Thats my opinion :)
