Can anyone recommend a wireless remote for a 1D mkII? I have no idea what the options are, but if there's one that'll allow you to burst fire remotely, it'd be preferable but not essential (depends on price i guess).

Cheers

Just do a search in this forum and you will see plenty, plenty and plenty of thread about RF remotes...

The cheapest and most reliable in the low cost is probably the RF602
The top of the line, most expensive is the pocket wizard.

In between you have many options.

Note that all these remotes are primarily for flash remote, but are also doing camera remote.
Regarding the burst mode, I'm not sure. I know that some cheap eBay 433MHz camera remote only are doing it.

I didn't realise the flash triggers could also be used to trigger the shutter!?! I already have cheap triggers (Cactus V4's), but don't think they'll trigger the shutter. Ideally i want something that will trigger the shutter only, and leave the cactus triggers to do their job. The busrt mode is just a secondary thought, but not essential really.

Thanks for the response photopat. ;)

I just got on of these, works very well in all modes from a wireless flash trigger to a wireless shutter release. Also a good design as it uses AAA batteries all round. I have tested all functions out to 60m +.
