Just pulled the trigger... purchased a 70-200 IS II USM

You have all the symptoms of either:
1) having the flu
2) falling in love
3) just bought a big white lens.

It's worth every penny and only a waste of money if you don't use it.

I tried to bounce my flash off the ceiling once. Left a mark on the ceiling and broke my flash.

From what I have heard and seen, it seems to be worth it, you should have bought 3 of em!

Another trick you can use for justification is the time and effort required in getting a shot. Driving somewhere. Hiking somewhere. Flying somewhere. If you are going to spend the effort, might as well bring your A game.

Half of overspending on something is the mental trickery and self-delusion. Trust me on this one. ;)
