Hey guys,

A friend of mine came to me with the idea of this semi-nude shoot to showcase a tattoo she had just gotten on her side. She has the whole idea planned out for doing some pictures in a shower and I have a few of my own outside of the shower. The bathroom the shower is in is somewhat tight. What would you all recommend for lighting it? Single hotshoe fired into softbox + single strobe into beauty dish? Single strobe into softbox?

The bathroom is about 5 feet wide by 10 feet long (not including shower).

I would just use two lights, with wide angle reflector pointing at each side of the bathroom.. I might have some images of this.. I shoot in the bathroom yesterday ( in a stand up shower) and this lighting works perfectly in bathrooms..

Any pictures you have of the set-up would be great!

I'm also considering renting a lens for this shoot... Either a 35L or 85L (or both). Going to be doing mostly full body shots...

If you are not already done with the shoot ...

Perhaps you can get a large reflective panel and shoot into it (keeping it against the wall). The light source will be large and more uniform and help you light the shower evenly. Within 10 feet the 85 1.2 isn't going to help getting full body shots. Perhaps the 50 1.4 is a better lens for that range (on a full frame).

Can you shoot it from outside the room through the door (to get some extra leeway)?
