I watched a tutorial on this and enjoyed it, so I bought it.
I am running Vista and CS5.
In the video it shows how fast he brushes.
BUT, when I do it, it runs so slow its unbearable.
Keeps telling me, Calculating Mask.
Have I selected too many colors to keep and drop?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I've never used the software myself, but OnOne is a pretty established company -- did you try their support forum?

What are the specs for your computer? I've used it and had a lot of colors selected and it's relatively smooth - not instant but not unbearably slow the way you describe.

My system is an i7-860 with 8gb RAM, and Win7x64.

It looks like you would benefit from a boost of RAM -- on a 32 bit system you max out a bit under 3GB, so if you put in 3 or 4 GB (depending on your motherboard specs) you should see a real increase of performance.

Sure, Shawn! I see you have a 7D, and yeah, with a hi-res body like that your system can really strain, so give it as much as you can give!

If you can swing it, upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit, and get at least 4gb of RAM total, 6-8 would be even better.

A step up from there would be to get an SSD drive to put the operating system and all your programs on.

I don't use WinMail but I imagine you could still run it in 32-bit emulation mode.
