IT WORKS! I was trying to select the actual CR2 files from DNG and that's when that error messgae came up. If i just select the folder they're in and hit convert it goes ahead and I can see the thumbnails in Bridge and then open using ACR in CS4

Great, glad you got it to work. I don't think I will have to deal with this again for at least three years. ;)

If Canon remains true to the time frame of the 5Dc to 5D2 that will probably be next fall. I use mine strictly for landscapes, portraits, and product shoots so AF isn't an issue for me and a Mark III won't be that tempting.
