baby portraits!!

I am just starting to shoot portraits. Here are a few black and white photos of my nieces. I am shooting with a canon20D. I don't have my own website yet so we'll see if this works. Let me know what you think!

Just FYI: not a lot of people are going to follow links, you're far better off posting the photos here if you want a lot of responses.

Cute baby. Cute photos. lacking a bit of contrast. A little bit soft.

You're making the exact same mistake I make a lot of the time, lol. Babies are waaay too asy to take nice shots of in b&w. Colour *usually* works best with babies though, as much as I dislike it personally lol

These are cute shots though! What a gorgeous little girl

Heres a few things I noticed off the bat
- Need a little more contrast (as mentioned above)
- #2 needs more of the top of her head to frame the image nicely and not cut her off
- #2 - maybe place her head a little more centered in a third (this is just me being overly fussy)
- #1 She's looking out of the frame but is too far over to the edge of the left hand side of the frame so it feels a little cramped, does that make sense? Don't forget to give her room to look into the shot where possible.

Great photos though, the clapping one is just great, I know it can be tricky to get shots like this!
