There is no way I would even leave my house with a camera and just one memory card considering their cost. Going on vacation with just one card is just asking for disaster IMO.

Given photography is a job for me, even though it's something I love doing, I don't take many photos while i'm on holiday. If I don't get photos, no problem, my girlfriend has a P&S and that was good enough to take holiday snaps. I obviously got better photos from my camera though, not too surprising given the D700, 16-35, and SB900 I took cost about 30 times more than her Ixus.
