Superb..! Love the styling on the bride.. which I know you had nothing to do with but you CAPTURED it extremely well. The light is fantastic.

Excellent stuff, Alex!

These two were a pleasure to shoot. The cabbage rolls were mighty fine as well. :)

The right photo on #4 looks awkward. Looks like her head is disproportionally large.(?) Otherwise I think these look very nice!

#7 is my favorite.. I know you were going for the blown out background, but would love it if it had just a tiny bit of detail.

Very nice work man. If you don't mind me asking, what photoshop actions/ lightroom presets are you using?

Great stuff... I was going to comment on #7 being too bright for my monitor and that I had to tilt the monitor to be able to see her arm and veil by dampening the brightness due to the tilted monitor screen. Then I saw how other people love #7... maybe it's my screen. I'll still throw out that it's a little bright :)

Thanks, everyone!

I also wish there were a little more detail in #7 but the file just doesn't have it to give. I think the shallow DOF combined with the histogram so far right lost any bit of the veil it might have had. I wish I could reshoot that sequence and get more of it back.

>>If you don't mind me asking, what photoshop actions/ lightroom presets are you using?

I use Spencer's from Presetopia: http://www.presetopia.com/ (external link)

Usual B/W actions: Tri-X or Midnight BW or Avedon or Emma
Color: Anita Blue or Fresh Mint or Alice in Wonderland (all toned down)
Contrast: Film +1 or +3 or Curve +1

Me too! Sometimes I feel like a blown background contributes to an image.. In the right circumstance. And this was the right circumstance.
