It did on occassions and those shots had to be binned as the car was hardly viewable with or without the camera, the other problem was smoke still lingering when the next cars made their run

It's a sport.

I challenge anyone who 'thinks' they can drive to do what these guys do and not lose it.

Just like drag racing is a sport etc. etc.

All motorsports takes skill to do correctly.

I think a tighter crop of the 2nd one would be great.
