Ok I bought a pack of Nat Geo glossy photo paper probably a year ago. 4x6 pack for like $3 at Office Max. Honestly forgot I had it till this weekend we needed some quick pics for a school project for my daughter. i grabbed those and threw them on my canon MP210 printer and fired off 6 or 8 and was astounded how good they looked. I rarely ever print at home because despite reading till my eyes hurt, calibrating printer, monitor etc I can never get it to look like anything other than crap on paper.

The colors were dead on, the prints looked like what I get done at any local printer or even WHCC. I guess all my work calibrating has paid off now that I have found a good paper for this printer.

now here's the issue. nobody has the paper anymore. office max is listed on the nat geo website as a retailer but they don't carry it anymore and the few places that do have it want to rob me for it.

So the question is who made the paper for Nat Geo and how can I find a comparable paper?

thanks

Shawn

Well given that you didn't have an ICC profile for the paper, the fact that the colours were accurate was a fluke not good calibrating.

However from what a friend told me their paper was (and is as they still do some) made by Harman/Ilford.
