Found software to test memory cards

I can't vouch for it, I just found it, but it looks better than anything else I could find.

ive had this one on my computer for while and havent found any bad cards when i tried it..

That's the one I used to link to, it only tests cards up to 4GB. The one I just linked to tests larger cards.

and boy is it slow lol its been running 40 min doing a 2 gig card! maybe i found my first bad card!!

Nah it just takes time to test a memory card. 20MB/sec about the best you could possibly expect, so a single pass of reading and writing could about 4 minutes. Testing it made up of multiple passes, and most card readers don't reach the maximum speed. Mine, for example, is writing at 11MB/sec and reading at 17MB/sec, on a slowish card.

i did a 8 gig in <20 min... and its a slow ass ultra2

I used the full pattern set, which takes 8 hours to test a 16GB card, with an average read/write speed of about 18MB/sec. It must go over each card many, many times.

I need to use this. I thought I had a card die a few weeks ago. But it may be the reader. I dont know what made me look... but found a pin in the reader that got pushed in. So I had to get a new reader. And now, test the card to see if it was really at fault or not.
