Here are some shots of an Emirates B777 landing at Christchurch last week. Looks better full size and definition.

I am using an old EOS 350D and a kit 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 zoom lense. We have this flight arrive every day in Christchurch but the type of 777 varies a bit.

Cheers Bazza

Mmmm, mincy.

I went for a flight today, missed a flock of birds by a hundred meters or so, and then 5 mins later, nearly clipped a hawk. Damn South Island birds!

Was listening on the radio as it landed, they made no comment re a birdstrike (or even about the flock?) so must have been close but the birds must have escaped without any problems to the 777.
Sounds like the birds were out to get you Reuben?
Cheers Bazza
