Thanks Sharon, I sure love this Sapsucker. He's in the yard all day long. He likes this one dish to drink from. He comes down the tree and it takes him about 3 minutes to finally jump over to the dish. Very shy.
This was a younger Jay, not real large yet. I will fatten him up before winter.:D

The blue is really soft on the Scrub... reminds me of Blue Bird colors, a pretty bird however... you are really getting some nice light around the water dish... the sapsucker is a gorgeous bird, I would love to see him... lovely shots as usual.
Sorry to hear the waterhole was a non photo outing... at least you know the Acorns are there, this group needs to get used to you in their territory... maybe the next trip will be a productive one. Hang in there my friend... :)

Thanks db, also yesterday there were large trucks hauling gravel down the road past my waterhole. 5 every 2 minutes, then a break for 10 minutes, then more trucks. This went on for 3 hours. The road was washed out 4 months ago somewhere way past my area. I don't know if the trucks caused the birds to hang back, or just seeing me there kept them away. I will try again. Thanks for the nice comments. I sure love that little Sapsucker!

Excellent poses Steve, especially the Sapsucker. He seems to be looking right at the camera.
