3 options for tripod carry. Either side or front panel straps. Side straps have pockets to rest legs in.

Any pictures of one loaded?

That carry method is available on all 3 backpack models?

I've been carrying my tripod on the side with one leg in the pocket. I've not tried strapping it on the front yet but it holds very well on the side, it doesn't move around at all and is very comfortable to carry this way. My wife took some pics of me with it on the other day when we were hiking, I'll post some up tomorrow morning, I'm at work right now.

I'm working on a big post about these bags. I have 2 of them here and all sizes of ICU so look out for a ton of pics with all configurations in the next couple of days. I will post examples of gear configurations in the ICUs so you can see what fits. Does anyone have any specific requests ??

Very excited to see these sample shots.

The Loka seems to be fitting the bill for what I want.

Satori and Tilopa just seem to big for day hikes.

Ok guys here we go. I have taken 42 detailed shots of the Loka and all the new ICUs including possible gear configurations with everything from a 2 lens kit to a 7 lens kit including a 300mm f2.8. If you had any questions I hope this answers a lot of them.

Because of the sheer number of photos I'm not going to post them all on here as I have already spent a lot of time getting them on my site. You can view the post HERE (external link)

Here is a couple of example shots though..... 40 more in the post (external link).

Holy ****! the Loka can hold a ton of gear!!
Thanks so much dandig! You've just sold me!

Any chance of fitting a 500 or 600 in there in some configuration?

I'm not sure about a 500 or 600 as I dont have one. You'd have to check dimensions but i'd bet a 500 fits in the Large ICU if you take the body off it.

So excited about the Loka. Not ordered one yet but will soon for sure. Just need to decide which ICUs. I'm tempted to get all three since I'll prob end up with all three anyway and it will save on multiple cross atlantic shipping fees. I also like the idea of using them as storage in the house. The flexibility having multiple ICUs is great - one bag can be used either for a bit of gear, loads of other stuff - right through to mostly loaded up with gear and a few extra bits.

Got a trip to China next year doing 7 days on the great wall so should make a great day bag for that.

That's what I did. The ICUs make a great way to store your camera gear too.
