Beautiful, as always...and Happy Birthday to your lovely little girl.

I hope you don't mind, but one thing about the first shot struck me immediately as being a little odd.
Your daughter is blowing, and the candle smoke is blown away from her; however the candle flames don't seem to have been affected by the blow at all...their direction is unchanged. It really is a nit-pic, but it was something that stood out to me straight away.

Very nice set. What setup on your lighting did you use, i.e. did you have a home made directional on the flash or a purchased snoot?

rather strange isn't it ! This is the SOOC shot - there's been no photoshopping to the direction of the flames, other than adding in an extra candle as she was 5 and only 4 candles could be seen.

I think I have snapped the photo just before her breath hit the flames.

no lighting, or flash - just the availbale light from the candles and these settings :

Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Lens: EF85mm f/1.2L II USM
Exposure: Manual exposure, 1/125 sec, f/1.2, ISO 800

Nice creative use of candle light. Good call as IMHO using flash would have spoilt the mood.

I love that you added the fifth candle, clever -I probably won't have thought to do that.;)

#1 is AWESOME.

I think it might look even better if you shift the crop so your daughter is more towards the right side of the frame and then just add black to the left. Just my $0.02.
