Howdy all,

For you Photoshop gurus, I'd like to pick your brain on the way Photoshop opens files. I have set it up so that I'm working in sRGB color space, but it pops up with the dialog box I've attached for each and every image I open. It isn't a big deal when opening up one or two images, but sometimes I want to open up a dozen or so and I have to sit there and click OK for each one. It is kind of a pain in the butt. Anyone know of a setting or method to have it automatically accept the color space? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the information. Wow! That is a lot to swallow. I think I got the gist of it though. Much appreciated...

Edit-Color Settings uncheck the boxes circled to stop color notifications.

Anyone know of a setting or method to have it automatically accept the color space?

You can't have it both ways. If you want your working space to be sRGB, you can't set your preferences to accept other spaces (like AdobeRGB). Apparently you've set your camera to shoot in Adobe RGB -- or, if you shoot raw, perhaps ACR is set to AdobeRGB.

Your Photoshop working color space is sRGB, yet all your photos are in Adobe RGB. Why is that?

If sRGB is your intended working color space, change the conversion settings in your raw editor to sRGB.

This helped a lot. I didn't know that that option screen even existed, let alone how to access it. Thanks again guys/gals.

... and have a good chance to get problems later on if you don't know a bit about color management.
(For instance, posting AdobeRGB images to the web, assigning working space to an untagged image or clipping an image in a wider gamut color space to AdobeRGB)

He asked for a setting to automatically accept the color space. I gave him the answer to that question. I didn't say I recommend it.

Dan, you may want to leave the box checked to be asked first just to get a heads-up for files that aren not converted Raw files, but since the one you showed was evidently being opened from ACR then the simple way is just to have ACR set to sRGB as you have been shown. With that you won't get the dialog. Then you just have to ask yourself whether you want the reminder if in some case you open a file from another source that may be in say aRGB or another space.
