Some more soccer from the weekend. The first game had 9AM sun, shadows are getting to be annoying, but you have to deal with them as best you can. This is my middle son and his team is doing very well. Good ball control for 6 yr. olds and we are starting to see some strings of passes between the players.

2nd set are from Sunday when it was overcast and the sun came out for a few minutes during the game. This field also had a severe crown on the one side where a lot of the play was coming from. Oh yeah, my sons team (black uniforms, got smoked 6-1.) Very disappointing, all they do is kick & run, no passing and no control of the ball.

All shot with the 20d, Sigma 100-300 f4. ISO was 400. Used some imagenomic NR as well. Anyways, here you go, let me know what you think. I was also kneeling or sitting down when these were shot. All in all it is a fun and busy weekend for me each week.

Nice action, good angles. Well done.
WB is a bit blue compared to the others in the first two shots.

They were shot on two different days. I'll check the origninal raw files and reconvert after changing the temp a bit.

No 5 is a great shot. If you could crop tighter to the players it would be even better as it would eliminate the background and bring the action closer to the viewer. The action is very good in this shot and the players deserve it all to themselves.

# 6 is awesome. the hair just makes it.
I think #7 is straight the trees in the background are vertical so I think it is just uneven ground ?

Great set

There is a hill there behind the field. That berm has another field on top of it. Add in the crown of the field they were playing on, and I can see where you are coming from. But it is better than having your typical cars and parents in the background.

Can't be helped in this shot.

I did re-crop these on another site. And I am sticking with cropping tight and shooting tighter.
