i suggest just waiting it out and getting it when you have the money. no sense in getting something that you don't really want. just be patient. that's my advice.

Hi Matt,

A DSLR hobby can get to be very expensive, so it would be a good idea to do quite a bit of research before taking the plunge. The cost of lenses and accessories can add up to many more times the cost of a new body. Even good used lenses are quite expensive.

You can get fantastic results from some of the upper end P&S's that may be more in line with your budget.
