A question about shipping in Europe

Hi all,

I'm moving to France tomorrow and bringing most of my photo gear with me. I get the feeling that I may have one or two things that I MIGHT want to sell once I get there, preferably on this forum (it just feels safe and cuddly, like a security blanket). I've never sold and shipped anything while over there, so I'm wondering...if I were to try to sell something in the marketplace, what kind of geographical limits should I use? I.e. where can I ship to from France and not have anyone get whacked with a VAT or with customs problems? Ideally I'd like to be able to include the UK but I feel like there's some kind of charge that either the buyer or I'd have to face.

Anywhere in the EU is fine, and won't incur VAT or import duty - e.g. France to the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy etc.
