I don't eat cats, knowingly, so I am not sure others in PETA would be interested in the leftovers either.

EDIT: Oh you didn't mean People Eating Tasty Animals, you meant that other one, didn't you? :)

While we are at it, let's jut PM POTN Mods to delete the search button on this forum - no one seems to use it anymore.

True, we just need to photoshop the kitten out and put a POTN search button in its place.

Or we can just hijack the thread. The OP's probably unsubscribed by now anyway.

plastics are oil based, is kevlar oil based?

Plastics are hydrocarbon-based (i.e. based on organic molecules), not necessarily oil-based. Just that the most convenient source of most hydrocarbons currently happens to be oil! Kevlar is basically formed by a condensation reaction between two such organic compounds, each based around a benzene ring.

Great shot, very sharp, which lens did you use on the 7D, the 24-70L or the 17-55 and please state why?

(see, thread now back on track)

Well, we all know the 'c' in 'KFC' doesn't stand for 'chicken' - could mean 'cat', 'crap', 'cardboard' or any of a number of other 'c' words!

Easily the 17-55. It has IS and is sharper.

How many threads are there where people say their 24-70 isn't sharp wide open?

Really, the only advantage the 24-70 has is build.

I can't fault you though...took me a while to get over considering making my entire lens collection red rings and realize IQ is more important.
