I agree - I hate when HDR's get too cartoony....

Very tastefully done - adds just enough to the shots without taking anything away.

Great job!

I agree. I think that most real PP work should be transparent to the end viewer. If you had not said anything, I may not have realized it... Certain that a non-tog would not have at all.

I find that when I am in a situation where I do not have the camera dynamic range for the shot I want, I take the raw and tweak it for the mids then import into PS. Make a screen layer and mask it and a multiply layer and mask it, then paint in the parts of each that I want to affect. It is an organic HDR in a way. Definately how I used to pull B&W in the dark room, just more hi tech. I find that I like this route better than the dodge and burn tools. Better results too!

Tom, I agree that you did a very good job of bringing out the detail and presenting balanced images without them appearing overdone -- good job!

Now THAT'S how an HDR image should look!

That second picture is stunning, as everyone says, not overcooked so it works fantastically well! (The first isn't quite to my tastes with the stonework). great work!

Second one is absolutely fabulous! I find the first one cropped strangely.
