using the 55-250 at more of a macro range trying to think a little more creatively, and to make the color and texture the main focus

did a little PP on them but mostly simple levels and exposure comp

I like #2 the best. The DOF is too narrow in #1 for what is there. Well done.

Some cropping issues, and the blown spot in #2 is a problem...

I would say nice subject and lighting, but most of those shots need some more composition.
