THe collection is here:

This is my buddy's girlfriend. He asked me to shoot her so she can update her portfolio. I would like some CC and suggestions to further enhance my skills. Post processing suggestions? Different poses? I really want to shoot during the "golden" hour(s) but with our busy schedule, this was early afternoon, so the lighting was quite intense in the AZ sun. Thanks

Nice shots, I'd mess with the WB a little but I could be wrong. Also looking at the EXIF I'm assuming you used the 135L for some of these. I noticed you were shooting at ISO 200 and 1/1600/sec. It might not be drastic but you could have set that ISO at 100 or 50 (not sure if the 7D does that or not).

nice set, did you only use natural light and a reflector for your shots in this set?

Yes, I did use reflector and natural light. A couple shots far away I used 1 430 EX.

You're right, I probably should have used 100 ISO. All were done with 135L only.

The lighting seems harsh to me. It could be because I like a softer look. There are a few where the light source is behind the model, which is always a challenge. Reflectors and fill flash can ameliorate it. But shooting at a more flattering time of day, as you noted, can be a better opportunity.

I agree with joedlh -- lighting too harsh. Even when she was in the shade the background was often blasted out. Try shooting during the golden hour if at all possible.
