Maybe a bit less of the effect would work better for me. If I did anything with #1, I might frame it a bit more nose up.

Great Pic. I like the first one best. Was he breaking the sound barrier? if so that would explain the cloud around the jet.

I like #2...much more dramatic that way with the orange.

+ the reflection on the cockpit is awesome.
