I'm going to an Orioles game on sunday and want to bring along my camera. Anyone have any experience shooting in the stadium? Is there a maximum lens length allowed?

The rules on the site aren't overly specific.

Camera/Video Equipment
Guests are welcome to bring cameras and video recorders into the ballpark for personal use. However, any photographic equipment cannot be used to reproduce the game and must not interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.

They do list a phone number for information. Phone: 888-848-BIRD (2473)

Call the number to be sure but I've been told that anything goes so long as it doesn't block other people's view.

Baseball is pretty laid back about photography. I've never had a problem taking my 1D2 and the 300 f/4 in to any of the parks I've gone to. Haven't been to Camden Yard though, so calling them is a simple fix.

Awesome. I'm not particularly fond of baseball, but I figure it'll be good practice on shooting sports, and it'll give me something to do at the game.

I hear ya. Baseball is probably the only sport that becomes much more interesting when watched through a viewfinder. :D
