I am thinking about "upgrading" to the 10D. I dont need the 20D because I can make 30 inch prints just fine on my 300D. The reason im calling it an upgrade is because of the extra features (have some on my 300D cus of hack) and the build. Anyone think this is a good idea? I like the 300D, its just I dont like the build. Thanks.

It's not an upgrade i'd do personally, I went from the 300D to the 20D and it was a great move. The fast UI, the larger buffer, and better high ISO performance is a big advantage to me. If you wait a couple of months there should be quite a few 20Ds around when people upgrade to the 5D.

Thats what I was thinking of doing but that will also push the value of the 300D down. I would say that the 20D will be at or under $1000 used by the end of the year.

I did that upgrade and never regretted it. The 10D has a bigger buffer, better controls and a better all around feel. It's a very very good camera.

Yeah, i think it would be a good upgrade, because then if you buy a body later down the road, the 10D will make a solid backup. But even if you sell it, you'll have used a better camera than the 300D.
