I really like these. The first one is super, giving a great feeling to the massive size of these ships. The somber sky and mood fit with the intent and purpose of these ships.

Well done!

Good ones. They give us a good idea of its immense size. Did you mean to say that it's docked next to the USS Nautilus?

Amazing shots. The first is just perfect.

I want to see one of these Iowa class battleships in person some day.

Back in the mid 80's they had the USS Iowa's deck open to walk on here at the Norfolk Navy yard and it was very cool... Loved the 53,000 sq ft of teak deck. Take a trip down this way and tour the Wisconsin...

We've got the USS Alabama in Mobile. It's about an hour-and-a-half from me. We did an overnight stay onboard for scouting a couple of years ago. It was a very unique experience to be sure!

I get hay haulers, tail lights without cars, train tracks without trains, plowing competitions, rowboats, prison barges, Ferris Wheels, dredgers, rafts in China, & squirrels on water skis too. Generally, if it moves & it's not in a race, it goes here.

Bow on there is no ship much sexier than an Iowa Class Battlewagon. What a set of curves! Hang that first shot on a wall!

Great Work!!!

#1 would be fun to really twist up in Photoshop to make it look as if it were at sea.
Can you say "Ghost Ship" ?

The first pic is really very nice indeed. This bow was originally built for the Kentucky. It was never finished due the the war ending in 1945. When the Wisconsin damaged her bow this one from the unfinished Kentucky was grafted onto her. Thus the nickname "Wisky". I would love to see her someday.
