You can get an adapter but that might put it out of your budget

Holy ****, chuck a 2x TC on that and you've got a 500mm f/2.8, and a short one at that. I wish I were a millionaire.

If I were a millionaire that wouldn't be the only thing I'd buy, an S2 comes to mind (do they make Hassy mount adapters for them?).

What's the point? For that much, you could buy nearly all the "L" lenses Canon makes! It CAN'T be THAT good! (And it's not even painted WHITE!)

Canon 50D gripped, EF 50/1.8, EF-S 10-22, 17-40L, 24-105L, 70-200 f/2.8L, 100/2.8 macro, 100-400L, 300 2.8L, Canon 500 f8 mirror with chipped EF mount, 580EX, 1.4x and 2x Canon teleconverters, Canon EF Life-Size converter.

I wouldn't have thought $34k would be anywhere near enough to buy all the L lenses, everything 200mm and up must come close to that (excluding the 1200mm).

If you are on a tight budget and want something portable that one works, but if you really don't mind spending a few million dollars take a look at the ZEISS Apo Sonnar T*4/1700 (external link).

Awesome, but i bet you $5 its soft as hell...a lens like this is not likely going to be that great optically..the 200/2 is a FAR better lens

The S2 is nice, but for the money, a real medium format like Hasselblads H4D or a PhaseOne has more value imo..

On topic though, what's the weight of that thing..? It looks monsterously heavy!

Sweet, so, with that weight, and a price like that..

Do I get a free tank to drive it around and keep it steady? :P

The Zeiss monster weighs 250kg, not the 200mm f/1.3.
