I am not sure of the ID of this bird - a pipit maybe, not certain; I would appreciate any relevant feedback in this connection.

It's a Pipit but I can't say for sure which species. I seem to have misplaced all of my other-side-of-the-pond field guides.

its a meadow pipit, widespread throught Ireland. Its slender form and lighter coloured legs distinguish it from the rock pipit which is also found around irelands coastline.
