Caught this guy building a web beside the hot tub tonight. She caused a little excitement around here for a few minutes. I don't know my arachnids so I can't identify her but I assume thats a belly full of babies there.

That just sent some shivers down my spine. I don't care for spiders so if you managed to do that with a picture.... great job. Nice sharp details and colors. Tony

Those are great spiders! They eat 10 times their weight in mosquitos a day. Not sure of their name but whenever possible let them live. They might just save you from West nile or some other mosquito disease.

I like #2 best. Great shot!

Looks like an orb spider of some kind with a sac of baby orbs......harmless and great bug eaters. I think they are fascinating....Hope you watch for the hatching and get some more photos as fabulous as these.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

That's a great shot, Bryan! I never kill spiders in the house, either. They're eating something I can't see!

Looks like it could get hungry in Bryan's bathroom! Great shots, like #2 best.

Funny... I think I was just trying to identify what appears to be the same terrifying little bugger...

Depending on where you're from they're called catface and barn spiders (farm name). Arraneous gemmoides is what is looks like to me, I catch these guys and use their silk, they're great to have around your house to eliminate flies and mosquitos.
