Pfff...I lived in Orlando for a little over a year. I was certainly not happy there and neither were most of the people who lived there.

I believe Disney World, not Orlando, is referred to as the happiest place on earth.

Yeah..Orlando is a dump...I've been to Disney World and whilst I was happy I was also being fleeced of every red cent...albeit 'happily'. ;) "Have a magical day" LOL

How is Orlando a dump? Is it mandatory to be "fleeced of every red cent" whilst at Disney World? Or is it voluntary?

Sorry but I see I must expand.

Having spent a few weeks there for non Disney related reasons. i.e. work. Orlando itself is a dump. Of course that's subjective, but for ME it's a dump compared to other places I have lived and visited.

As for Disney and fleecing..the answer is YES it is mandatory. I did not see many people taking food or drink INTO the parks. And unless you wanted to starve or die of thirst whilst queuing for stuff they pretty much had us all as a 'captive' market.
