Time once again for the monthly Lions Club pancake breakfasts at Coolidge Municipal Airport! First one of the new season was very well attended despite it being about 12-15 degrees above normal for this early in October.

These were all shot with a 1DMkIII + 500mm f/4L IS

My typical settings are 1/125 @ f/13-ish ISO 100. If I'm feeling really steady I'll drop down a little which I think I did for 1, 4 and 6. I think I was down on one knee with my left elbow on my left knee in #6.

that is amazing, how do you get away with such slow shutter speeds with a 500mm lens?

Last one is great, but spoiled by the CAF tramp stamp. They will never learn.

Nice work Jay. As always, nice and sharp! I think of all of them I like the Cherokee shot the most, although the subject is a little dull I like the angle, composition and lighting a lot.
