Did this as a day hike yesterday. 18 miles total, 4,500 up 6,000 down. Left the trailhead at 6am and got back at 1030pm. Packed way too much camera gear of course. Ok enough personal drama. Really an amazing spectacle of Alpine lakes and larches.

I would LOVE to do that hike! But the g/f and I are just not in good enough shape to do that sort of distance and elevation in one day :(

Beautiful shots!

Very nice shots!

How did you go down more then you went up? Dropped off and picked up somewhere else?

thanks everyone....yes starting at the Stuart Lake trailhead and going out the Snow Lake trailhead yields those numbers. Fortunately I bummed a ride ten miles back to my car.

Pretty shots, Mike, a really good series. The hike is very impressive, as well.
